150 Years of Communication Studies
The Bob Schieffer College of Communication, while recently formed in 2000, inherits a rich tradition of communication studies dating back to TCU’s time as AddRan College. From 1876 to today, the college’s mission to develop students who are effective, creative, ethical and critical communicators remains steadfast.
RFTB partnered with the Bob Schieffer College of Communication to tell the story of communication dating back to the university’s founding, working with faculty and staff to dig through the archives, uncover lost stories, and create an immersive digital story showcasing the foundation and evolution of TCU’s communication studies.
RFTB set out to craft a story that had not yet been told. With the help of the TCU Bob Schieffer College of Communication faculty and staff, RFTB created an immersive document of TCU’s enduring commitment to the study and practice of education.
View Live SiteWhile the timeline was able to give a complete bird’s eye view of the college’s 150 year history, these “featured stories” were an opportunity to expand on these milestones by showcasing more imagery specific to that time period alongside a long-form, editorial style historical narrative.
